 Prospective Leaders
Welcome to the SOLID leaders’ page. We’re glad you’ve checked out our website. If you’re new to SOLID, this page will tell you our philosophy behind leading students and what we expect out of our leadership team.
The goal of this page is to give leaders the tools that they need to reach students and help them become more like Jesus and less like this world. Here at SOLID, our goal is to produce solid students. This means that it is more than a Wednesday and Sunday thing, and it’s bigger than activities or a full calendar. SOLID goes on all week long, every week of the year. We are looking for people that have a passion to see teenagers transform their lives and walk with such Godly integrity and wisdom that people's lives are changed because of it. We are also looking for people that can be highly disciplined in their own spiritual walk with God and highly committed to SOLID and First Baptist Middleburg. If you are interested in becoming part of our amazing Adult Staff team, please fill out an application and turn it in to us here at the church. Connect to God Activities
These are opportunities for our students, such as Team Spirit Night and REVERB, designed with connection in mind. We would love see students get connected to Jesus Christ, and connect to a group of peers who are following Him. These programs and events offer them a comfortable place to connect relationally; and we encourage them to worship God in a large group setting as Pastor Carson challenges them by communicating God’s truths in a relative way.
Connect to Others Activities
These are opportunities for our students, such as D-Now and FLGs, designed to create an atmosphere of that encourages them to get plugged into a small group. These groups (FLGs) help them to develop a lifestyle which has Christ as its center and focus. FLG Leaders will continue to build relationships with students, but they will also lead students to grow in their faith by teaching them God’s word, and by giving them a SOLID Biblical foundation. By the time our students graduate out of the student ministry, we want them to have an understanding of spiritual formation, basic theology, evangelism, and missions/ministry.
Connect to the Lost World Activities
These are opportunities for our students, such as Camp SOLID, Ministry Days, and Mission Trips for them to “give back” to Christ and minister to others in His name. When our students have reached this phase we hope we have led them to understand the idea of living a life which is focused and centered on Christ. This is when God will have used us to produce students who will be SOLID for Him.

Current Leaders
First, we want to say thank you for all your hard work and dedication to this great ministry. SOLD Student Ministry could not function without your help. That being said, please don’t forget that we don’t HAVE TO work with teenagers every week, it is a PRIVILEGE to mentor them every week. These students are the next generation of leaders in our world, and God has chosen YOU to help develop them into the Godly men and women that they will become. Don’t forget to mark your calendars for our monthly Leadership Meetings where we will be discussing upcoming events and learning how to become more effective leaders to these students. Please let us know if you will not be in attendance to this week’s service so that we can cover your responsibilities. Let us know if you want to take it to another level of leadership and become a Director in our ministry.
